Hmm, you're complaining about not seeing much of the present history of (the militancy in) Islam? Then you should read a little better, Willie. But one strategy is to put the head underground, like austriches do.

The problem you have with older books is the real issue, not that others have a problem with new books. I believe that YOU have a problem, which you try to project on others. And that problem is that you seem to feel a little lost and desperately need guidance of new books and saints? Well, good luck my friend. If you can't appreciate what you have, then you won't with what will be presented newly. It will be boresome for you after a while, and then you'll beg for another set of new books and saints.

You must first of all clean and clear your closet before you can take new stuff. But if you just put your closet in order, it'll look nice too, some things may be put aside, some new be taken. This is the evolutionary path.
If you are eager for the new, without appreciating the old, then even a revolution wouldn't satisfy you.
