	more references, from the west: B.C. Wade has done research on the tabla in general,. Francis Shepherd has written a book on the Banaras school of tabla and their origins, with the aid of Pt. Sharda Sahay. Gottlieb has written two books with cassetes on the Six Major Schools of Tabla, also with notes on the origins.
