quoting Vinaire
Each one of us is a potential God. We all may have have similar aberrations. But each one of us is unique in our capability to create.

From the Advaita point of view: out of primary Brahman as non-duality (=harmonious duality) evolves = is created secondary Brahman with an dialectical duality as a manifestation. Everything that is manifested is relative(effective) Brahman as reflection of the causal Brahman.
If causal Brahman is equated with God Potential then the relative Brahman is also a potential God that creates his own reality of being or becoming.

For me an Avatara has no use, but for others it may. It's a matter of focus and choice. An Avatara would be like becoming an inert effective Brahman letting another manifestated consciousness doing the job I have to do. An Avatara can never remove Avidya out of someone. If something is part of you, only you can neutralize it, others may give inspiration or support or advise, but only you have to make the moves.
And an Avatara would be as much part of effective Brahman as you yourself, for he's also manifested. And has thus also to unmanifest himself just as you. Becoming evolved for helping has the danger of getting involved: Of every so-called Avatara we have the significant stories of their doubts, their struggles, etc.

So if someone likes to depend on the avatara concept, it's okay. If someone doesn't it's okay too. For that very person has to go forward himself, with or without companions with their own developments, towards causal Brahman.

I sincerely hope not to have offended anyone. If so I apologize for this.
