Dear Vinaire,

quote
The "Potential to create" appears as "Cause" at the moment of creation.
Can we say, "Parabrahman appears as Nirguna Brahman at the moment of creation?"

This is exactly what my understanding is of the two words. When created or becoming an effect it is Saguna-Brahman.

Haha, with the 'when I was younger" I meant it relatively. I'll stay forever young, though my body might dissolve.

quote
Would this be un-creation (destruction, dissolution)?

Whenwith Dvandva the Pravrtti is involved it looks as if it is a (looped) creation, but when the Nivrtti is involved it is an un-creation.
I think that the word for dissolution is implied in the word Tamas (which is personified as Shiva). The creative force is Rajas (personified as Vishnu). And Sattva is the balancing one, always a reflection of Brahman (personified as Brahm).
Tamas is especially important in the Nivrtti as Rajas is in the Pravrtti. (The word Tamas is thus not negative, only when morality is applied to it or when someone doesn't accept change as part of the creation-uncreation game)

The Trigunas when applied to Prakrti become Akasha (sattva), Dish (rajas) and Kla (tamas). Actualy Death is also called Kla or female Klii.
The Trigunas when applied to Purusha become Sat (sattva), Chit (rajas) and Ananda (tamas).

Generally speaking
People who might think that a person who calls himself not different from Brahman is near to the next stage of accepting that he is identical with Brahman and nearest to being Brahman. Though having a faint remembrance of that Homeward Path, and making him more Homesick, still that person has a long way to go.

Others who don't understand the relative stages, might think that that person thinks he's God. But that person doesn't even use the word God or use the classification which implies that God in the same sense. The remotest stage where a "God" might be used anyway is with Parabrahman. But then it's totally different from a Saguna or qualified God. The God most religions are talking about is a Saguna God (Purusha Vishesha in the YogaStra) and is just as temporary as we as Jiivatman are ! Everything, and also the Purusha Vishesha, will be dissolved in the Nirguna of ParaBrahman or the One Absolute (Unconditioned Love).

Realizing that you're not different from that Brahman, it means that you're having increased feelings of love and responsibility for all beings and the conditions and the conditional are moving towards the unconditioned absolute.
