Part 1 Rishis Aghamarshana This Rishi laid down the theory of creation, which is known as the Doctrine of Time. He is known from RigVeda X-190. Out of the non-visible comes the visible created world from the action of Warmth (Tapas) in the primitive substance called Water. Whereas Rishi Praj�pati Parameshthin in X-129 says that it is attributed to Cosmic Desire, Aghamarshana says it is attributed to Samvatsara or Time-Principle. Rishi Diirghatamas He was the blind son of Uchathya and Mamat�. He was of the Angirasa family. Diirghatamas is famous for his Doctrine of the Sun with 12 spokes (= months) in RigVeda I-164-2-13. These Twelv emonths have 720 days and nights together and an additional intercalary months in RV X-164-48. Rishi Brahmanaspati=Brhaspati This Rishi was famous for his Aditi or Infiniteness Doctrine. Of the Angirasa family. Rishi N�r�yana This Rishi is known from the Varna Doctrine of RV X-99-12 where the four Varnas are compared to Cosmic Purusha.
