Dear VJR, Purusha is meant as Sh�nya only in the attributive sense. When it is Nirguna, then the attributes of Saguna are Sh�nya is not created, reduced to zero level, neutral. It is only in that sense that it is used by Bauddha Dharma originally. Only when we clear or clean, than we have an empty or fresh mind in our dayly routinely life. And then we can proceed into a next stage. So It is this meaning of Sh�nya that is used.
