Hmm, does the dv� suparn� mantra of the RgVeda mean that there are three manifestations of one reality? Or is it a reference to a non-active, an active and the opportunity to be active? Or something else? The Upanishadic explanation is of a later period, but relatively nearer to our time, in which the Mantradrashta way of thinking was already very remote and becoming obscure or adapted to new circumstances.
