There is little the think about when the major works are so disjointed and vague. It seem the me that a lot of what has been written about the vedas, and the rig in particular is creative writting at its best. The authors claim the have some mystical reference to these works and that it takes a special mystical relevation the get the true meaning of the works. And while this might be true , it seems strange that brahman would allow something to be written at the premier holy work for a whole religion that is so hard for the average person to understand.

Hmm, Willie, this is some marvellous, high quality remark of yours. Your understanding of books in general is really some breathtaking wonder. I have never met someone with such little knowledge of what not only books stand for, but what living heritage is, historical, philosophical and philological importance, etc.

You don't understand that words can travel time and still retain its force, even though the ancient language is no more accessible to the average. That doesn't mean that the language has no value, but that the average hasn't learnt that language.

The religion is not hard to understand, who gave you that wrong impression? That was never ever said by any serious Hindu.
Vagueness is something the reader should work on, it's you who have to work on this. Apparently you have no understanding at all of the Vedas, so don't blame the books. Why should anyone tell you that cake is made up of certain ingredients, you have to find out yourself and appreciate or dislike the cake, because you know what you're talking about.

But you seem a little scared for books and their words, especially when it's poetic and philosophical?
