SOV, violence is part of life, though despicable. To fight violence you have sometimes to kill too, in defence! Just letting terrorists kill around and preach to them love is no solution but a weakness. You have to root out the roots of violence, and sometimes you need to kill, to outroot violence. That's part of the Kshatra and the job of Kshatriyas. That's why every Arya (civilized) fought with the Anarya (uncivilized) to save Dharman. Dharman is not only of spreading peace, but defending peace, with words and with weapons if necessary. You don't necessarily need arms against civilized people to fight Adharman. But uncivilized people have different standards, and won't listen to civilized means. It's the Dharman of every civilized person to fight Adharman, whether with words (common people) or when necessary with weapons (body of specialized and appointed persons). Fighting back and killing militant or terrorist Muslims is a defensive act. If you won't stop the Jihadis, they'll continue anyway. That will give more divide: a first group of people terrified to take action, accusing the ones who want to take action and warning for retalliation of Jihadis. A second quiet group of people who don't have any opinion (out of fear); a third group of people reactionary and retalliating. And finally a fourth group realizing that taking action is necessary, even if it involves killing. The only way to stop the retalliating group and take away the fear and criticism of the first group, is to take firm and coordinated action! This is the Kshatra path. The Br�hma path, which should be done anytime parallel with the Kshatra path, is to get a dialogue with responsible people within their communities for reiterating and stressing the common global/universal spiritual and educational similarities. The Jana path is to negotiate on global economical affairs, which is most of the times the root of frustration which may be leading towards violence, national and international. So, SOV, whatever you say, taking no action against terrorists or militants is the root of further deteriorating divide.
