Actually the Aryan invasion has never been proven till today. No one ever thought Arya to have come from outside India, till some indologists assumed this a few centuries ago, totally ignoring tradition. These assumptions became a fait accompli and all the indologists were ought to accept this, which they did, due to the strong lobbying of the few. Now it is totally unacceptable to modern multidisciplined scholarship, except for some fossile researchers with some kind of nostalgia. Tradition is deeprooted. As long as this can't be disproven by sound evidence and research, no new theories should be adopted as true. What classical indology did was brushing aside tradition and proposing a total new framework, which was very successful, due to coldly discrediting everything that was against this. This is not a professional academic methodology. So of course once it had to collapse. But it took very long. I would suggest you to read the thread on Aryan invasion as a start.
