	Dear Vinaire, There two reasons for the importance of this date: 1. There was a conjunction of certain planets. 2. V�sudeva Krshna died, if I am right, on this particular first day of KaliYuga, which preludes the Darkness of this Yuga, without a Lightgiving personality.
