Still Vsat has a point about Dravidian being more close to Skt in many respect than Latin.

All the linguistic theories were fabricated with the AIT in their minds, and originally to destroy Indian culture to Christianize India (check the articles, letters, works of the first generations of indologists) . A huge pile of literature is based on that. How difficult it is to correct a bad habit, is something one can easily answer personally. Let alone when it's about fabricated theories.
Linguistics is a handy tool to trace the meanings and formations, etc. But it should be checked every period and be adapted to new findings (of the SSVC), which is still not done.
(Indo-European) linguistics are working with 'pastoral', 'AIT', 'casteism', 'Arya-Dravidian dichotomy', etc. The colonial spirit is still there. (Check M. Witzel)
