Here we have again a very naive SOV. You're talking about all "good people". Let the majority cloathed in a purdah of stoicism first of all silence their antisocial minority. The root of many global problems are to be found there. Another group is the military industrial complex, operating secretly with their own para-constitutional agenda.

SOV, you cannot just compare the Sangh Parivar with the KKK, or Nazis or Taliban. Some people have committed a grave crime in Godhra, their act is horrid. The Godhra incident was a horrifying reactionary act.

The KKK are neo-fascist US bands, organized, who believe in the racial superiority theory, and were active in killings without a cause. Sometimes supported by powerful (political) factions. Their roots are in the slave-keeping period.
The Nazis were a West-European politically fascist faction believing in the racial superiority and extermination of other races. Women as mothers were very important.
The Taliban are a Pakistani stimulated Afghani religious 'fascist' group not believing in the racial but religious superiority. They wanted to exterminate other religions, but give the chance to become a Talibani version Muslim. Within their own group they were harsh on individuality, women's right, etc.

Though some sections of the Sangh Parivar act like bands, having some political support and even public, they're a reactionary group (some are defensively agressive), not a fascist group, though some factions are very aggressive.
Fascists want totalitarian rule, which the Sangh hasn't. They want free space for Hindus, which is denied historically by many anti-Hindu groups within and from outside of India.

Of course the way the Sangh handles this, is not good public relations nor a clever move to be reactionary. If the Sangh wants to be effective, they have to control their emotions and be very keen on what proper reaction to give when confronted with ruthless agression. This is a key problem.
