The Jaina Tiirth�nkaras are mostly Kshatriyas from the Ayodhyan Solar line. The eastern Vedic culture of Solar Aikshvakus (Ayodhya and Mithila-Videha) produced many great thinkers from early Br�hmana to especially the Upanishadic period. Jainism and Buddhism is very close to the Upanishadic philosophy (and Nirguna Raudrism), whereas mainstream Hinduism of western UP and W/SW India became dominantly Bh�gavata-Vaishnava after the Aindra cult. (The ancient Varunism of Ayodhya was merged with Raudra-Shaivism in eastern and with (Raudra)Shaivism in north and western India. Varunism remained also part of the Avestan Arya of Afghanistan-NWF)
