There's even more, Vinaire:

The Precession is calculated at 25.920 years.
1. Division into Twelve: 12 x 2160 =25.920 years for a Precessional era.
2. Division into SeventyTwo: 72 x 360 = 25.920 years
3. Division of Five: ChaturYuga of 12.000 years.
Taking two ChaturYugas, say a shukla- and krshna-pakshi ChaturYuga will gives 24.000, ( a ChaturYugi?) and an extra Yuga of 920 years give 25.920 years. (a MahaYugi?)
4.Division into MahaYuga: this means that a ChaturYuga of 12.000 years has an extra Yuga of 960 years to give the Vedic Great Five'Year' Cycle or MahaYuga.
5. Two Eras of 2160 give the number 4320, which must be very familiar for those who know about the Manvantara System (including the 71/72 division).
6. If we multiply 720 (ten times 72) by 3 we get 2160!
If we multiply 360 by 6 we also get 2160!
If we multiply 180 by 12 we also get 2160!
7. The number 108 multiplied by 120 gives 12.960 or MahaYuga.
The number 108 multiplied by 20 gives 2160.
8. Every Rashi has 30 degrees. This miltiplied by 12 gives 360 degrees.
Every Rashi is divided into 9 Padas. There are 12 Rashis, thus 9 multiplied by 12 gives 108 Padas!
9. Every Nakshatra has 4 Padas. As there are 27 Nakshatras, we then get a total of 108 Padas.
10. The total of 108 Padas can be divided by 3 times 36 Padas. This 36 is another key number, also for 360 and 720.
11. The number 720 x 3 Padas (in a Rashi of 30 degrees) give total number of 2160! [72 years x 30 degrees = 2160]

Note:
I used the terms YugA for the smaller unit and YugI for the greater. Because Yugi=Yugin means: containing a YugA.
