That's right, Vinaire. Actually there are two creational hymns recognized by tradition: The N�sadiiya S�kta and the Purusha S�kta.
I may be the only one to call the first Rch� also a creational one. But that very first Rch� of Madhucchandas Vaishv�mitra is a good summary or better a first taste of the whole Samhit� philosophy. So Veda-Vy�sa V�sishtha did a great job in putting those Rch�s together that fitted best his survey of scientific Vedic achievements.

The translation of Wilson, based on S�yana is fairly okay. The one of Griffiths can be taken as a second opinion. There's also a translation in German of Geldner.
Two Indian translations of the RikSamhit� are from Aravinda/Aurobindo Ghosha and Day�nanda Sarasvatii.
