Willie, Christianity was not an alternative for the Jewish religion. It was an invention of Paul, against the basic teachings of Jesus and his direct followers. His teachings were perfectly in line with the Jewish teachings of his time. This is a fact amongst theologicans. Islam is another story. It started with wars, even amongst themselves. After two decaded only the materials were collected. The product was a mixture of warfare and theological copies from other prophetic religions. The distinction between the two was never clear in politics, another aspect that formed an unity with warfare/military and theology. Any system good or not, is up to the ones who want to follow it. It's their guide. If that's not suited for you, let it go. Create your own world, which will work for you, but YOU have to do that, don't ask anyone else to create it for you, or don't complain that other's systems doesn't apply to you. If you're only interested in analysing, then you might understand a system better if you will understand your own one. I believe that perhaps that is the key issue. You don't really understand other systems because you don't seem to understand your own system? Perhaps your system is still without a real shape? No problemo, but first try to figure out what you want and which does suit you most, and then try to analyse another system, according to its own settings.
