That Christian idea can be found in the corruption of Hindu dvaita, where many Hindus think that it is blasphemous to even consider the possibilty of being like God.





In that sense you're right, Vinaire. Dvaita is a subtle variation in Advaita, where the starting poijt is from dualism, and the goal is Yoga or (Re)Union. One can observe that within even the most theistic movements within Hinduism. Buddhism calls that Nirvana or Shunyata (zero-ness, in the sense of that there are no Gunas anymore to be focused on Saguna Brahman or being an Effect).
All Indian thought is based upon Connection and Reunion.
