The Dv Suparn Mantra gives the idea of one Suparna observing (Purusha/Atman), one Suparna is enjoying (Jiivtman) and the Vrksha is the enjoymentgiving (Prakrti). Prakrti doesn't need Purusha to be, as Purusha doesn't need Prakrti to be. But Jiivtman needs its Purusha (mind) to perceive its Prakrti (body). Brahman can be realized through its Purusha but also through its Prakrti part, as Jiivtman consists of both. Purusha seems unchanging, but Prakrti is changing in its effect, thus making it very difficult to realize the unchanging Prakrti cause through the changing Prakrta. The seemingly unchanging Purusha is also difficult to realize for the Jiivatman caught in the changing Prakrti. Identification is the key word or obstruction. More specific Energy is in my opinion consciousness (information), but not self-reflectory. Raw material is so-to-say crystallized energy. And thus crystallized information. Every raw material does have core information (laws of nature) about the basic Prakrti principles which has a causal stage to be percieved, but of which only the effect stage is seen directly. Raw material is also based on the triple principle of Sattva-Rajas-Tamas, which become three when manifested (effect), but one, when being unmanifested in smyvasth (causal stage). The three basic priciples in Prakrti is the outward playground of Brahman. To see through the changing stage the unchanging is to realize Brahman through Prakrti. The beauty of nature, of the sun, of the cosmos, the order and regularity in nature, a miracle like a birth, etc gives an outwardly impression of the magnitude of Brahman. It's all information, but we have to look at the message and not at the package. Brahman is thus in Prakrita-raw material the information, pure consciousness in Purusha and self-reflection in Jiivtman. Note 1: I said about Purusha as 'seemingly" unchanging, because it is unchanging without Prakrti, but seems to be changing when in interaction with Prakrti in Jiivatman: The Purusha or conscious part starts being trapped in identification, and then the consciousness becomes densed. It becomes narrowed in relation to matter. The Purusha part in Jiivtman can be caught by the changing process of Prkrta to narrow its consciousness. The narrowed information is the reality of the consciousness. But how narrowed consciousness may be, every piece of information has always a core eternal truth. So, how much Brahman is manifested either through Prakrti (pure body-information) or Jiivtman (mind/body-self-reflection) or Purusha (pure mind-knowing), in every part there' s the core aspect of Brahman, which can lead towards realization. Realizing the unchanging-ness and accepting the changing-ness as it is, will give the balance (un-creativity) and the natural way towards Advaita-tva. Note 2: female and male It's an analogy to call Purusha the male and Prakrti the female. Of course male and female are not the real meanings. Prakrti relates towards Purusha as the female towards the male for convenience when dealing with PARTNERSHIP. But this Partnership is only meant in JIIVATMAN! Because Jiivatman is and has both. We look upon both principles in this way: relation of HUMAN towards NATURE. In this relation Nature is the mother and Man is the child. (physical outlook: the body and all physical possibilities such as food, etc.). As such Man has to take care of Mother Nature. Consciousness is then looked upon as Father. But of course this is our analogy to understand the relation between the two pricinples, and it is convenient, because as HUMAN we have already the two models: male and female. (homosexuality also to be understood in this way, one more female then the other). |
