The offshoots of the Christians are still labelled as Christian. Christians are distantiating themselves of Judism, but also of Islam (as that religion does distantiate itself from both).

One can see the main centre of thinking is from a Christian focus towards the other kindred ones.
Why the differences are accentuated for Indian systems, is also obvious. Buddhism used to call itself as Arya Dharma, not differing much from Upanishadic thought, having debates on a philosophical level with other currents within the Arya Dharma.
Sikkhism itself displays also a changed attitude, from its Hindu roots in the beginning of its history towards modern time:

Tina te suna Siri Tegha Bahadura Dharama nibaahana bikhe Bahadura Uttara bhaniyo, dharama hum Hindu Atipriya ko kina karen nikandu Loka parloka ubhaya sukhani Aana napahanta yahi samani Mata mileen murakha mata loi Ise tayage pramara soi Hindu dharama rakhe jaga mahin Tumre kare bina se ita nahin
~ Guru Tegh Bahadur's reply to Aurangzeb's ordering him to embrace Islam.
In response, Shri Tegh Bahadur says:" My dharma is Hindu and how can I abandon what is so dear to me? This dharma helps you in this world and that, and only a fool would abandon it. God himself is the protector of this religion and no one can destroy it."

Sakala jagata main Khalsa Pantha gaje
Jage dharama Hindu sakala bhanda bhaje
~ Guru Govind Singh in Ugradanti Chhake Chhand Vani under the description of Chandi Ki Var (Chhake Chhanda 39 ):
"The Khalsa sect will roar around the world. Hinduism will awaken, its enemies will flee."

Sikh Guru Sri Govind Singh further stated in Ugradani Saveya Chhake Chhanda (40):

Sakala jaga me khalsa pantha gaje,
Jage dharam Hinduka turk dunde bhaje
[Ugradanti Saveya Chhake Chhanda Chhaka 1 line 40]
