Hmm, VJR, I don't think that was the question of Kalyan.

A Brhmana is literally someone who is related to Brahman. Now Brahman has two meanings:
1. Brahman the Absolute Cause.
2. Brahman the Mantra (as rch, sman and yajus are also Mantra types). This last has to do with Nda-Brahman or Brahman known as Causal Sound.

A Brhmana is someone who re-unites with Brahman. Nothing is said about doing that alone. Even Brahma-charya doesn't literally mean being without a partner. It only means 'the system (that's why the word is in the absolutive wordform) of being on the path (chara) of Brahman".

Of course waisting sexual Retas energy causes a certain delay in transforming (= Urdhva-Retas) Retas into spiritual Ojas Energy. Thats why in the course of time Yogs and even married people didn't waiste their Retas when trying to reunite with Brahman during contemplation. But this doesn't mean that one can't be married.

Some people (mostly men) might have temptations in the vicinity of women. But that's their individual weakness. Their minds are controlled by Retas Energy and not by Ojas.
