quoting SOV (sorry Vinaire, I have to figure out the quoting command):

==========================================================================================
No one can understand the mystery of God. Even this is written by Vyasa and in Gita Krishna says this as well. Man cannot comprehend his glory. Only Lord, through his grace on devotee can show a small piece of that infinite glory. That is what Arjuna saw in the Virat roop.

I do not know why Jesus went the way he did? Why Rama bore so much pain? Why Sita mata got seperated? Why the almighty Krishna died by an arrow geting hit on his foot? Why Vivakananda died so young?

All this is based on previous Karmas and will of God. Like I said, we are in a play, God is the director, he decides when we enter and when we exit.
===========================================================================================

You don't have to UNDERSTAND God, you have only to BE God. or better, be Brahman, don't make or work with separateness and there will be no differences and no understanding needed, for You Are That.

First, blaming previous Karmas for things going wrong in this birth is a tricky question: would you then also say that deformed born people are that because of previous Karmas? That child abuse is because of previous Karmas?
Second, if the Avatras are also victim to (previous) Karmas, than it would mean that Avatras have also a kind of birth-death-rebirth-cycle in their Avatra being. This means that they are no different than us and thus also Samsra-bound, only at a higher level. This is not the traditional (Vaishnava) theory of Avatra-tva, but it sounds logical.

God is not the director, we (=Atman) are the directors. We can do that now, consciously (taking responsibility for our direction by unifying every aspect and removing separateness) or unconsciously (not taking the responsibility and making us the playing ball of our disunified mind). It's up to us to realize separateness or non-separateness. It's very easy to give that responsability to someone else.
